Doko Demo Issyo: Toro and the Shooting Star (どこでもいっしょトロと流れ星, Doko Demo Issyo: Toro to Nagareboshi) is a Video Game in the Doko Demo Issyo Series, developed by SCE Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. for the PlayStation 2, which was released on April 1st, 2004.
It is an adventure game where the player travels with Toro through a small town, called Yumesa Town, to collect pieces of a shooting star and solve mysteries, meeting new characters and Pokepi along the way.
The story is split into 9 chapters, with each chapter having its own problem to solve and shooting star piece to collect. However, there is no pressure on the player to continue the main story, and the player is free to explore the town, do side activities and minigames, and chat with all of the Pokepi in most chapters. However, doing every side activity in the game is required for the true ending.
The game also introduces 9 new Pokepi that only appear in this game, those being Andrew, Mitsuru, Kikko, Sachie, Caesar, Bogie, Minmin, Coco, and Nora, though they do also have cameos in the diary entries of the PSP remake of Doko Demo Issyo.
There is very little information regarding this game on the Internet in English, outside of short character bios and a story introduction, making it unfortunately something of an enigma currently. There are playthroughs of the game online available in Japanese, however, and more information will be added here within the coming months.
