Bunny Cat is a character in Toro! Let's Party!. Although she calls herself a bunny, she is quite clearly a cat with bunny ears. Bunny Cat is somewhat bashful, and inexperienced on traveling outside her hometown.
She lives on the moon: Asian folklore often correlates rabbits with the moon, as it was believed there appeared to be the shape of a rabbit at a pedestal on the full moon. In Japanese versions of this folklore, the pedestal the rabbit is looming over is for pounding mochi, a form of soft rice cake that is traditionally formed by pounding it with a mallet and pedestal.
Bunny Cat's story is based off this folklore: her mission on Earth is to collect mochi, and she refers it to the "live source" of the rabbits in her hometown. She frequently makes vague references to her hometown, such as describes it as "desolate" and "all rock", although never directly refers to it as the moon. She is shown to have the power to fly to and from the moon, appearing as a shooting star while doing so.
